What the degree apprenticeship route means here

A degree apprenticeship is a job with a degree attached. You are employed, paid and given release to study; the employer meets the training cost through the apprenticeship levy, so there is no tuition fee and no fee loan. The catch is supply: you cannot apply for the course, you apply for a vacancy, and vacancies are advertised by NHS trusts and other employers in far smaller numbers than university places.

8 of the 51 approved speech and language therapist courses follow this route. The rest are undergraduate degree (20), pre-registration master’s (18) and integrated master’s (5) , and all of them lead to the same HCPC registration and the same starting job. Choose the route that matches where you are now — school leaver, graduate, or already working for an employer who might sponsor you — rather than the one that sounds most senior.

None of these courses carries a UCAS code in the dataset, which normally means applying direct to the university or, for apprenticeships, to the employer advertising the vacancy. 5 publish a typical offer in a citable form, shown in the table below.
